From On Semi (up to date status can be found here):
Our deepest condolences go out to the people of Japan following the tragic earthquake that struck northern Japan on March 11. ON Semiconductor is currently working to assess the impact to its employees and facilities both in Japan and affected areas.
ON Semiconductor has approximately 6,000 employees in Japan. We have confirmed that there have been no on-site injuries to our SANYO Semiconductor division and ON Semiconductor employees in Japan. Updated reports confirm that no employees have been injured as a result of the earthquake or tsunami.
Our first priority is, as always, the personal safety and well being of those impacted by the event. We are currently assessing facility and customer impact. As we address the safety concerns on the local level, in parallel our global business continuity team will assess the infrastructure stability, impact on the work in progress (WIP) and inventory levels in the various channels to determine the status of supply continuity. We will update our various stakeholders as additional information is available.
